As Sjölins Smide is in an expansive phase, the organization is now strengthening with a Project Engineer focused on preparation for the office in Hudiksvall. About the role

As a Project Engineer in preparation, you will play a central role in various customer projects where you collaborate with a group of four project managers, one project engineer, and six foremen, as well as other departments to drive the projects forward. The role includes planning, design, and production support, as well as customer and supplier contacts.

You will be responsible for documentation, where you retrieve and deliver drawings and documents to and from the customer and internally to manufacturing. You will handle preparation and manage PMs as well as changes and additions for pricing. The role also includes responsibility for the project's timelines and payment plans, as well as issuing quality, environmental, and work environment plans. Financial work may also be part of the position.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with experience in construction projects, preferably in metalworking or concrete prefabrication. Alternatively, you have worked with similar tasks in steel, concrete, and wood construction or in industries such as manufacturing. We prefer that you have post-secondary education as a construction engineer or similar. You have good familiarity with computer systems and an understanding of how to read and sort drawings and other documentation.

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and collaborative. You thrive in a results-oriented working style where you take a lot of personal responsibility to drive your projects and tasks forward. You are self-driven with a business-minded approach and do not hesitate to step in where needed to help both colleagues and the entire company move forward.

Requirements for the position

• Work experience in construction projects or similar
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge in handling drawings, models, and similar documentation
• Driver's license B

Meritorious

• Post-secondary education as a construction engineer or similar
• Knowledge of contract law and project economics
